FE Triathlete Andrew Yoder takes 70.3 World Champion to the line

Pro-Triathlete phenom Andrew Yoder is challenging the Worlds best triathletes at the ripe young age of 19.  This past weekend he went head to head with 70.3 World Champion Terenzo Bozzone and was a mere 10 seconds from pulling off the upset.  Here is Andrew’s recap and his nutrition for the race.
1st Endurance Rider Wins Dauphine TT

First Endurance rider Bert Grabsch (Columbia-High Road) stormed to an impressive victory in the long time trial stage of the Dauphine Libere on Wednesday. The reigning World Time Trial Champion, Grabsch finished seven seconds ahead of Australian Cadel Evans and 39 ahead of Great Britain’s David Millar on the rolling 42 kilometre course and is now in third place overall. 

1st Endurance Riders Sweep Podium in Philly

First Endurance riders swept the podium at the Philadelphia International Classic.  Andre Griepel (Columbia-High Road) won the race, Greg Henderson (Columbia-High Road) was second and Kirk O’Bee (Bissell) finished in third place.  “It was great to win here today. The team did a really nice job,” said Greipel. “We had a lot of cards to play with three sprinters and some good breakaway riders. In the end it came down to a sprint and Greg gave up his chances to lead me out. It was nice that he could take second place.
1st Endurance Rider Leads Tour of Luxembourg

First Endurance rider Gregory Rast (Team Astana) is the first leader in the 69th Tour of Luxembourg . Rast was the fastest rider in the prologue, a 2.7 kilometer time trial in the streets of the capital of Luxembourg. The Team had another solid performance with three riders finishing in the top ten. Assan Bazayev finished fourth and Andreas Klöden sixth.
Levi Leipheimer Wins Tour of California for Third Time

First Endurance sponsored rider Levi Leipheimer (Team Astana) captured his third consecutive Amgen Tour of California title.  The victory comes on the same day that teammate Alberto Contador won the Tour of Algarve, giving Team Astana four total victories in the early part of 2009. Over the 9 days and 1256 km (780 miles) of racing, Levi Leipheimer was 36 seconds faster than Garmin-Slipstream’s Dave Zabriskie and 45 seconds faster than Columbia’s Michael Rogers. Leipheimer laid the foundation for his final victory during the 2nd stage up Bonny Doon mountain, and in the individual time trial in Solvang, which he won in convincing fashion.
